With some help from Joe's written directions and his voice on the walkie talkie we were able to find the ditch. It was build probably 100 years ago to bring water to the sugar cane fields in Waimanalo. Today it brings water to many small farms and nurseries in Waimanalo. The ditch leaks and someone or agency seems to be trying to fix the leaks. These leaks are the source of the "stream" on the road mentioned on the last page.
