This was the "best" part of the hike.  Going trough the tunnel.  The beginning of the tunnel is only about 4 feet high and perhaps as wide.  As you can see the walls and "roof" are supported by cut stone blocks cemented in place.  Most likely this section went through soil and not rock and had to be supported to keep the roof from falling in.

Some of us had "head lamps" and others carried flash lights.  Here I look back at the group behind me lead by Lucy.
