After Mike got finished playing w/the mud, we ran into a hunter that I knew from teaching days and it turns out he is related to Mike's wife. Small world we live in here in Hawai`i. Anyway after talking to the hunter we began exploring for a site that Mike and I found many years ago. That's the one I mentioned at the beginning. We found lots of interesting things in our wandering around. These look to be two columns that some how fell over. Each was made up of a thin band of decomposing red rock and then a band of harder black rock. NOTHING else in the area looked like these two. Mike took this picture.

Another of Mike's pictures. This was at the low end of what looked like a wall of big boulders. The "wall" is probably natural and not man made, but at the end these rocks sure looked like someone hid something behind these neatly piled rocks.

The area we were exploring was coved in dried grass about 3 feet tall. In amongst the grass Gene stumbled upon this pile. This is made by man, but why. It is not a terrace. Is something buried there? Notice the one "red" rock on the top of the pile!!!!
