After snacking and resting at the Outhouse we continued on the "white ribbon" trail until we came to the power line where Dayle took this photo of me wondering what I was doing up here. In reality it was not bad "yet".

We followed the white ribbon trail as it followed the power line which was where we wanted to go. But all good things come to an end and so did the trail. We found oursleves on an Uluhe covered ridge facing a big gulch and another Uluhe ridge on the other side. It was decided to go mauka on the ridge we were on blazing a new trail. We went mauka until the Uluhe was replaced by forest. There we began to contour, on pig trails, towards our goal. Sometimes the the trails went a little up and sometimes a little down as we ziged and zagged in and out of gulches and around ridges.
