In time we come to an old dirt road that once was used by the sugar plantation to construct the Poamoho Tunnel. They also had a nursery here where they experimented w/different trees to see what would work best to replace the "eaten" native forest. It's an interesting area w/a lot of strange vegetation. If you take the trail down to the tunnel entrance you'll really see a lot of different exotic trees.
At the junction w/the old road we turn right and head deeper into the forest.
