This is the first stream crossing, the one Ball refers to
as having a "slippery rock surface". As you can see someone was nice
enough to place a cable across the stream. Just before this to the
right in the picture a big tree fell across the trail. There is what
looks like a trail going down to the right, skip it. Climb over the
fallen tree and you will be back on the main trail.
