When I took this picture I had know idea why the fire boat was shooting this stream up in the air. When I got home and watched the news I found out that a destroyer left Pearl Harbor for duty off Afghanistan and this was part of the send off ceremony. You can't see the destroyer in this picture.
But in this picture taken by Inez you can see the Destroyer just to the right of the fire boat. Well you can just about see it :-).
I had to doctor the colors on the above picture to make it look better. The one below is just as the camera saw it. View across ridges toward the Waimano Summit.
