Somewhere about 1/2 way between the Stairs and Tunnel 19 I ran in to this blow down. The top of a huge eucalyptus fell across the gulch and the tips of the branches were over the trail. There was no choice. I had to clear or turn around.
After about 5 minutes of cutting and tossing I was about 1/2 way thru and it looked like this.
Another 5 minutes and I was all the way through. Not the best job, but for one guy...pretty good I'd say.
