We left the Water Works Trail to visit Charlie Fat's old camp to check on the avocados. Hmmmm, the trees were loaded as you can see here. We picked from 3 trees and would run a quality check once they ripen. Turns out that the two w/the stem from Tree One don't have a good flavor and are a bit stringy. The others were just fine.

After loading up w/the avocados and having lunch we headed up the ridge above Charlie's place. There we came on this strange tree. It looks like many, many years ago it blew over but did not die. "Branches" have turned in to trunks reaching for the sun.

On the way out, Dave produced a large rubbish bag and proceeded to pack out lots of trash found along the trail. Thanks Dave :-)

Here is a short 3+ minute video in 1080 HD of the days highlights. Enjoy.
