In the center of the picture you see a vertical wall on a narrow ridge. We came along the narrow spine pf this ridge on our 3rd journey in the valley. The drop on either side was over 100 feet and the ridge was about 3' wide.

Winds in the past few days were very strong and this bird nest was blowen right off the tree.

Speaking of bird nests, this one survived the winds :-) It is known as Ekaha (Asplenium nidus) and is often found growing high on tree limbs or on rocks.
