Today as in the past I only made it to the first peak. I took me 3 1/2 hours to top out at roughly 3100'. At this point you begin to see the Lapalapa tree with it's leves blowing in the wind. Check out THIS video.
I took a long break here at the first summit clearing. I was kind of pooped coming up here on only 3 1/2 hours of sleep. No I won't say why :-).
