I took me about 55 minutes to reach the Nuuanu Lookout and along the way I caught up w/a few hikers and was passed by some others.  The wind was really blowing and I sat down on the bench to take this panorama.

Another hour passed and I was now on the crest of the ridge.  After leaving the lookout the trail follows the path built by workers for Mr. Castle of Castle and Cook back in 1910.  In 1920 the trail was closed by the city when they declared the area a closed water shed.  Since no surface water is used on O`ahu for drinking the area is no longer  closed to hikers.  On the left is Manoa Valley and Waikik in the distance.  On the right is Nuuanu Valley and in the distance the airport.  Both are panoramas so use the scroll bar.  HERE is a link to a video from the same place.
