About 1/2 way up Tiki Ridge there is this really nice log laying on the ground that makes a great seat and a place for a rest. The climb from the forest reserve gate at 600' elevation to the Tiki Rocks at 2800' elevation is 2200' and a rest at this point is nice. Stanka managed to set her camera on a stump and then run to join us in this group shot.

Once we get up to say 2200' elevation the ridge narrows to just about 6' wide and the vegetation thins out giving great views. This is Kamaileunu Ridge, the ridge that separates Wai `anae Valley on the right w/Makaha Valley on the left. The high peak in the distance is Mt. Ka`ala the highest point on O`ahu w/an elevation of just over 4000'. If you look closely in the very center of this picture you can just about make out Three Poles.
