We left tunnel 6 behind and walked up to the "stairs", by the old plantation manager's house. There we ate lunch and took a break. I called a friend on the mainland and Dan did some exploring on the terraces where the house once stood. After lunch we hiked south on the Wai`anae Ramble Trail and with our imaginations running wild, Dan spotted this "skull" laying on the side of the trail.
I agreed w/Dan that it looked like a skull and I moved it from the ground and set it up on a big rock where it will get more respect. It sort of reminds me of one of the characters in the kiddy movie "Goonies" that my girls loved to watch over and over years ago.
