Back on the BWS road Mike wandered around looking at walls that flanked the road and took these pictures.

On the way back to my house for some cold beer Gene had me stop to take a picture of the old electric generation building. Once upon a time the Wai`anae Plantation had electricity and they had it before most of Honolulu. Before irrigating the sugar the water was used to turn massive electric generators. Until just a year or so ago they could still be seen standing silent in the building. Then some "druggies" discovered the place and the fact that the generators were full of copper. Now only the broken remains litter the floor of the building. Another part of Wai`anae history destroyed.
