The shelter which I didn't photo is just a little over 2 miles from where you left your car. From the shelter the trail goes down a gentle grade until it again meets the stream Here a second dam was built. Much of this dam is still standing.
Keeping to the extreme right of the dam the trail crosses the stream and then proceeds to climb to the top of the next ridge on a series of switch backs. Here are the hikers making their way across the stream.
