We spent about 20 minutes walking up the jeep road to Look Out Point (black line-blue dots) where we dropped down into the forest. We were soon at Kaniwai stream and the first dam across it built by the plantation workers. From Look Out Point on for about 5 minutes the Wai`anae Ramble (yellow markers) and the Water Works trails (blue markers) share the same ground.
These two pictures were taken along the jeep road. The second is just a few hundred yards below Look Out Point.
