The pig on the last page was a distraction, but there is much beauty to see along the trail. Here is a photo of one of many Bird Nest Ferns growing along the trail. The Hawaiians called them "Ekaha".
The fourth little valley along the trail is hard to notice as a valley. The trail cuts right below a rock face that makes the valley unless you look down hill. Here is a shot of what seems to be a shallow cave along the rock face.
Just a short distance along the trail from the above shot there is a very large tree that fell across the trail this past winter. I think it will be some time before I can get someone w/a chain saw up here to cut this one.
