After the first set of poles the road turns into a trail shaded my medium sized trees.
Around 10:30 I caught up and passed the next group of hikers at the 2nd set of poles. What is funny is that these are also about 1100' above sea level. The thing is there is a low saddle between the two. I still have no idea how many are ahead of me.
