As we worked our way up the ridge we came to this really big rock, POHAKU in Hawaiian. It was just sitting there on the ridge. No other rocks around. Seems strange. In Hawaiian the word NUI means big. This is the third really big rock I've seen in Wai`anae Valley that impressed me and I'm calling this one Pohaku Nui 3. It's probably about 8' wide, and the sharp edge with the dark markings is probably about 5' from the bottom. It's big!

One of the things that is "spooky" about this pohaku is the shape. Look at "Pohaku Nui Too" found a few miles away in the same valley.
