After Bill turned back George and I climbed a small hill and soon found another crossing, and then another.  Looks like I did not miscount.  The airplane debre through me off, for I thought it was to be seen at crossing #23. We reached this point at 11:48 a.m.  Anyway this time we began our assult on the summit.  Map 4 below shows the last part of the hike.  This is the intermediate section.  In reality it is NOT really hard at all.  There is only an elevation gain of 400 feet.  It only took 25 minutes as the trail is still clear.

At 12:12 we reached the summit, only 3 hours and 12 minutes.  This has to be one of the shortest and easiest routes to the Ko`olau Summit.  We were greeted by this view of the windward side. Green Haiku Valley with the mighty H-3, and  Kane`ohe Bay and its many sand bars stretched before us .
