Short report.  While walking on the road we came across this moth just "sitting" on the road.  We think it was dying as it didn't move at all.  Any ideas what it might be?

Later while walking along Ekaha Stream we came across a banana tree that was just setting fruit.

On a small plant besides the big one we found a "banana leaf roller"  a really nasty catapiller that first eats the leaves and then rolles itself in a portion of the leaf to become a moth or butterfly.  Needless to say after taking the pictures we killed it.  Sorry about having to kill it to all you "animal lovers".
