Peter and Dusty showed up at my house about 10:00 a.m. Kind of late, but what the heck at least they didn't have to fight traffic to get here. Of course that means the hike up to the Ramble Trail would be HOT. We load the gear in my truck. By gear I mean a 20" chain saw and a 12" chain saw and all the gas and chain oil the two would need. In addition of course we had our packs, lunch and lots to drink.
It took us, well it took me 50 minutes to reach Jury's Tree. The two "younger" guys made it about 5 minutes faster. There we too a good long rest and re-hydrated. After about 10 minutes we loaded up our packs and headed left along the trail looking for dead trees across the trail to distroy. And that we did.
For some reason I didn't think to take pictures of the first blockage at all. When i finally rememberd I had a camera the second job was done. Here is a shot of it now. This was perhaps the largest of all for the day. But that's not to take away from what came next at all.

This "was" a downed Paper Bark tree that came down this winter. With Peter and Dusty in view you get an idea of it's size.

We use to have to get down and crawl under this one, but after Peter go thru w/it w/his 20" saw it looked like this.
