Here is that shot looking straight up. You can see some daylight and the trees growing along the stream.
This shot is to show you the years of debris that was caught by the vertical steel bars you see in the picture. Remember the stream is about 7 feet above our heads. If a few of those steel bars would break, the debris would give way and anyone standing where I am, or anywhere in the tunnel would probably die in a rush of thousands of gallons of water. Gee, I wonder how many more years they will last!!!!!
