After a while we leave the contour trail on another finger ridge which takes us down to Kaukonahua Stream. The water is not very deep today maybe a foot at the most.
After crossing the stream we climb another finger ridge. This one is pretty steep and in it's upper reaches covered w/Uluhe fern. The trail was in great condition and cleared nicely.
