My "old" hunting/hiking buddy Mike (the guy w/the camera in this picture) came back to O`ahu for a visit. Each time he does I try to drag him on a hike into Wai`anae Valley and take him to some place new to him. That's hard as Mike and I hunted and hiked for many years in the valley while he lived on O`ahu w/his wife and 3 kids. Mike brought along two friends. Jim, in the blue shirt, and Jim's wife whose name I can't remember. Mike's replacement hiking buddy, good "old" Makaha Dan came along also.
Crider Falls is located in a valley deep in Wai`anae. It's source is rain water coming off Mt. Ka`ala which today was lost in the clouds.
Not sure what this is.
