After leaving the falls behind we crossed the stream five more times. Then on the right coming in at an angle from down stream is the trail that climbs back to the Aiea Loop Trail. Its easy to miss this trail as it enters the stream trail at a very sharp angle. Its a long slow climb back to the ALT, but not as steep as the one we came down. It was made more difficult by a HUGE koa tree that had fallen across the trail. We had to help the ladies and kids over and down as it was in an area to steep to go around. This picture was taken before we found the downed tree.
