Here is a follow up on another experiment. I took 20 Phoenix roebelenii seeds and placed them in this plastic jar that once contained pretzels. I used the same method as on the past pages. Used about 2" of red cinder then put in water to the height of the cinder. This was then covered w/about 6" of potting soil with the seeds placed on top. Just enough soil was then used to cover the seeds. This was back in September of 2007. Of course I placed the cover on the jar to contain the moisture.
This is what it looked like when I unscrewed the cover today January 7th, 2008.
