I'm not sure when these pictures were taken. Perhaps some time in the very late 1990's or early 2000's. There use to be grass here, but I decided that grass was to expensive to maintained here in this dry climate. My wife go interested in water plants and began collecting them in big plastic tubs. In time I would build a pond for her. On the extreme left is a big drop off that is terraced going down to a picnic area. I alternated Manila Palms w/Dwarf Phoenix Palms. There are also a few large pots of what we here call "Areca Palms", Dypsis lutescens.
