This palm was grown from some sprouted seeds given to me by someone who "knows" palms. But....from what I can tell this is not L. mariae. It has never thrown a reddish frond. It is something else, what I don't know but what I do know is that it likes it's place in the full sun on this little terrace. It has grown very nice since being planted in the ground in July of 2005.
Two years and 2 months later (Sept. 2007) it looks like this.
