This palm is endemic to eastern Queensland, Australia. It grows in open woods as well as swampy areas. As with other Livistonas it is a single trunked palm with a trunk that can reach up to 50 feet in height.
It LOVES the little terrace I placed it on in Oct of 2005
In just 2 years and 3 months (Feb. 2008) it has grown into this "monster" :-)
