Late September 2008 I began to clear a new planting area. It is below the Car Port Terrace which I just finished planting and mulching on Oct 5th 2008. The two areas are tied together by location.
Here is a panorama of the area before I did anything. Well many years ago I did plant 2 Hawaiian Pritchardias right below the terrace and one at the far end of this section. They are from right to left, P. beccariana; P. affinis and P. martii. It's hard to see the three palms thru all the scrub growing. Only the martii has grown nicely. It had a bigger bed and got better water.
I did a lot of clearing on the right end and here is a before and after:
