By the end of December 2009 I had 3 seeds from the hard container w/shoots. One other had a shoot but it died in the mix. The fifth is still there waiting.
Kris recommended planting the seeds directly in the ground. So I went on an inspection tour of the 2 acres and found this area along the dry stream bed with enough room for the three seeds. Now all I have to do is clear it.
A couple of hours later the grass dug out, the soil leveled and if you look carefully you can see 3 rocks marking the spot where I will plant the three seeds.
