I've heard a lot of "Ford Tuff" in reference to their trucks. Well this is Nissan Tough. This is a 1991 Nissan p/u that I guess has a rating of 1/4 ton carring load. Well this is 1120 lbs of compost. Approx. 1 square yard. Total cost about $35.
That's an Hyophorbe indica from Wal-Mart sold as Sandlewood Palm. I think it was about $22. The bed is ready for the compost.
To keep the wife happy about "another palm" in the front I did some quick thinking and knowing how much she loves herbs.....I suggested we fill in around the palm w/lavender.
And here it is, one palm, nine lavenders. Should look really good in a year.
