I think it was Dan who spotted this VERY TINY mushroom on a piece of dead bark. Notice my finger nail in the picture. I'm taking a wild guess that this is Mycena alphitophora.

At todays lunch spot was the remains of a once large tree. Dan and Gene both remember it being infested with Carpenter Bees a few years ago. The big black ones you see flying around are the females and can sting although seldom do. The males are a golden color and tend to stay around the nexts and DO NOT sting. Here you can see the holes bored by the bees when they lived here.
