Ka`ala Falls Ridge

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not revealing the exact location of this ridge just yet.  There are plenty of native plants here and we don't want to many people heading up here and perhaps endangering them any more than they are.

I was a nasty rainy day but 3 of us headed out anyway.  It rained off and on all day, never really hard, but enough to keep us totally wet and chilled.

The following pages are of the "natives" we saw today, one plant per page.  I could use help identifying them  Each one that I photoed got a red/yellow stripped ribbon to mark it as a native.  Many thanks to those of you who have been helping me identify plants on previous hikes.  I don't know how you keep them all straight in your head.  They look so similar to me that I get all confused.

Here is the first, an easy one Ala Ala Wai Nui Kane (Peperomia tetraphylla)  This is an interesting one as the leafs are very small.  In one photo I placed a finger for size reference.
