After reaching the spot where we came out of Ka`ala Middle we turned left and busted a path down to Ka`ala Left. When we reached the dry stream bed we headed up stream until we can to this unpassable "wall", at least a 50' dry waterfall.

We stopped there and sat down for lunch. Looking down at the ground I noticed the petal from a red flower. We looked up and saw this way above our heads growing on a vine. It is the native `Awikiwiki, Canavalia galeata, a member of the legume family. Perhaps seeds are not long in coming.
