Pear Gulch - Trip 4

Saturday November 28th, 2009

This would be our 4th trip into Pear Gulch this year and the second w/Nathan and Daniel.  This valley is magical w/the large number of Native Hawaiian plants that grow there.  This is just a sample of what we saw this trip.

The view as we began our hike.

This native Ala`Ala wai nui, (Plectranthus parviflorus) is very common in dry area growing on rocks or in the cracks of rocks.
