Another hour of hiking up a steep ridge (sometimes referred to as Pua`a Nui Ridge as the first time we hiked it we found "droppings" from a very large wild pig,  brought us to the "Snack Spot" where we always take a break before entering the "narrow valley" which is the Star Trek Trail.

From the Snack Spot we slow down as the trail becomes more dangerous with loose rocks, weekly rooted trees and the first of the rope sections.  Here Tony is still smiling as he's about to go up the 100' rope at Horse Shoe Falls, no water unless its really raining hard.

Dan brought up the rear and here he pops up at the top of the "falls".
