Just above the "knook" is one of the entrances to the Waiahole Ditch system. It is sealed to keep people and animals from falling into the ditch. Check out this panorama view.

Just below the above location we found a few sections of "rail road" track. This is left over from the tracks laid to haul the rock as the tunnel was blasted into the mountain.
