The U.S. Army in cooperation with the State DLNR and the University of Hawai`i has constructed a few fenced in area to try to keep out the feral pigs and to allow native plants a better chance to survive. Here Dan approaches one of the enclosures.
There was an information sign hanging on the fence describing it's purpose.
