As we were heading up Kumaipo Stream Dan noticed this fruit laying on the ground. There were a number of very tall trees in the area but we could not tell from which one they came. I harvested about 8 and will try to germinate them. If it works our at least one will wind up in my "back 40". :-)
This is some sort of fungi that Danny saw along the trail.
