To the rear of the supports (up hill side) the ground under the forest litter was paved w/concrete. Gene approaches a massive moss rock wall that in places had cement holding it together. This is the first time in either Wai`anae or Makaha that we have seen moss rock and cement used together to build a wall.

Above the wall in the last picture is a terrace, also paved w/concrete and an even bigger moss rock wall behind it. This time no cement used to build the wall.
