Gene entered the left tunnel first and I followed him. We had to crawl in for about 25 feet before we could stand up. "Standing up" really means bending over to keep the top of your head within 5 feet of the tunnel floor.
It was a little spooky inside as roots of trees above had found their way into the tunnel through cracks in the rock.
