We then took a "long" slow walk up the road to this point. The area between the yellow ropes has been declared safe to walk on. On either side could be unexploded ordinance. Fred told us that below is a rock the old Hawaiian called the piko rock. I don't remember a reason for the name. Piko is the Hawaiian word for your belly button.
I don't understand why the path right up to the rock wasn't cleared. Below this is the best I could do w/the 3 X lens on my camera.
