At the end of the road the trail climbs a small hill to the top of a peak known as Mauna Kapu which mean "Sacred Mountain. On the crest of Mauna Kapu is a bamboo forest. After walking thru the bamboo we started down the other side and came across a lone flower of the O`ahu white hibiscus.
