This very tree w/a trunk diameter of over 15 inches is another native. It is Lonomea and looking at the number of fruits it looks to growing quite well in this dry section of the valley.
For a change I got a head of Dan and looking back over my shoulder I took this. Yea, right!!!!!
Kind of lost count of which canyon this was. I think perhaps #8. Anyway after this point we lost the trail. No more yellow ribbons marking the way. So we just busted thru the fallen branches and other scrubby growing things going in the general direction we wanted to go.
