After we all were on the Wai`anae Summit Trail (WST) we headed up to the top of the left hand peak of the Star Trek Trail.  Here Alan takes in the view.  That peak in front of him is Kalena, the second highest spot on O`ahu at something like 3500.  We were at about 2900' and so had climbed 2300' from where we left my truck this morning.  I think the average slope for Star Trek is about 60 degrees.

Mt. Ka`ala is just a bit to high at 4025' to be seen in this photo.  The peak in the shadow along the WST is the top of Hobb's Ridge and also somewhere around 2900' in elevation.
