Another of Stanka's pictures. Jane is about to climb/over/thru this massive tangle of roots and trunks just below the 100' rope to Skull Rock.

We reached Skull Rock around noon and had our lunch there as well as a good rest. Above Skull Rock is the most dangerous section of the trail where a fall would mean ALOHA. Thanks Stanka for the picture.

The view of Wai`anae Valley from the Skull Rock lunch spot. This U-Tube video shows Stanka coming around the bend after Skull Rock. If you look carefully you can see her holding on to a black line. This is some pretty strong webbing we use same stuff as you saw in the other video. This is the most dangerous part of the hike. A fall here and you FALL a long way as you can see here and in the video. The trail is about one foot wide w/an almost vertical wall on the high and low sides with no vegetation on the low side strong enough to stop a fall..
