Just shy of the 1800' contour we reached the Honouliuli Contour Trail. This fence is being constructed around a huge valley from the contour trail up two steep ridges and across the summit. The idea is to kill all the wild pigs w/in the fenced area and then do what can be done to stimulate the grown and re-introduction of native plants and perhaps animals.
We turned left and followed the fence line for a while.
